Waiting in line to see "The Intouchables" at St George Open Air Cinema (I know, again... what can I say? I am spoilt and there may be a few more of these in the coming days...). It was overcast but the temperature was comfortable and li'l sis agreed to be in my photo for the day :-D
Believe it or not we are actually in a rather crowded line with people only just out of the frame. I don't know what exactly they thought about me setting up a tripod and pulling funny faces at the lens while clicking away with my remote... when we started one guy was like, "do you both want to be in the picture?" and I was all like, "yeah of course we are both going to be in the picture, but don't worry, thats what the tripod and remote are for"...
Okay in hindsight (when playing back the exact way in which this went down, the details of which I haven't included here), this possibly might, maybe, kind of have been one of those situations where some guy tries flirting with me and I completely shut him down without intending to because it just doesn't occur to me that that would be anyone's intention when starting a conversation. Its a habit of mine that tends to drive my friends crazy... oops! :-S
Pity, he was cute.
Anyway, focus, back on track... Originally I was diligently hoping it would rain (I do a mean rain dance I tell you). I REALLY wanted to wear my gum boots (lets face it, taking photo's in them would just be an excuse) and I was hoping the rain would make it slightly more inconspicuous... because its perfectly normal to wear gum boots in town when its raining... *insert innocent, wouldn't lie to save my life face here* Of course this is all completely moot because do you see any gumboots in the picture here?!?!?!
But I won't complain because I got to see an awesome movie that made me cry from laughter, I got to waste the time standing in line taking some seriously fun shots with my sister, of which there have been few since she moved to Perth for uni and whilst I didn't get my rain the clouds proved to be a marvellous natural diffuser. :-D
Oh, and I guess I did get at least one shot in my gumboots.
Thats all from me for now.
Much love,
D.
Love my girls great shots.
